Business Valuations: A Practical Guide for Lawyers

This in-person seminar offers practical tips on what lawyers should know about share, business, and IP valuations. Join David Stears for in-depth insights and have all your questions answered.

About this event 

Lawyers will frequently come up against the concept of “fair” or “market value” in the line of their work, be that in assessing quantum in a dispute, drafting documentation for corporate clients or even in a divorce. Understanding the basics will assist lawyers in effectively supporting their clients through transactions, disputes and compliance. 

Hosted by David Stears, Head of Buzzacott’s specialist Valuations Team, this session will provide practical tips on what lawyers should know about share, business, and IP valuations. Join us to learn what is meant by “value” in different contexts (and why it’s important), common drafting issues in company Articles, and what a good or bad valuation report might look like. You’ll also find out what to look for when appointing an expert valuer or shadow expert.
