Funding innovation in the technology sector: Are the government doing enough?

From AI to algorithms, product development to cybersecurity, innovation is the lifeblood of the technology sector. And it’s a particularly hot topic for the government right now, too, with Chancellor Rachel Reeves announcing the creation of a new industrial strategy in her upcoming budget. But are the government doing enough when it comes to funding innovation in tech?

Hosted by Buzzacott’s R&D expert, Iain Butler, this discussion will cover the ways in which innovation is currently funded – including through R&D tax credits and grants – and the ways in which more could be done to promote innovation the UK tech sector. As this event is taking place after the budget, we’ll also be discussing the changes the Chancellor has proposed for this area. This event is a fantastic opportunity to share your thoughts on current government policy, shape the discussion, and network with your peers in the industry to learn more about the challenges they are facing around innovation funding.
