Our Corporate Tax team is delighted to have successfully helped the owners of Visual Data Media Services Limited (VDMS) to secure an investment from Endeavour Capital and to fund the next phase of its growth.
VDMS is a leading entertainment services company serving studios and distributors globally with end-to-end content management and digital media supply chain solutions with offices in LA and London.
Our team supported both the UK based company and its US parent throughout the transaction and ensured that the US advisory team understood and considered the implications from both a US and a UK tax perspective. We worked with the management team throughout the process to help structure the deal and to ensure that the tax and commercial impact was evaluated in order to ensure a successful outcome.
This deal was made particularly complex by the various involved parties on both sides of the transaction, each with different interests. Managing this required proactive communication and flexibility in dealing with all parties to achieve the desired outcome. Our experience and understanding of both countries tax regimes meant we were perfectly placed to help achieve the desired result.

“The Buzzacott team has always been a trusted and reliable partner to VDMS. Their cross border expertise was extremely important to insure all shareholders interests were met. We could not have made a better choice and look forward to working with the team for many more years."
Symon Roue, Managing Director at VDMS
The partnership with Endeavour will allow VDMS to build on its success and continue to expand its service offering both organically and through acquisitions to achieve further growth. We look forward to continuing to support VDMS in this next exciting growth phase.
