Lili He - Assistant Manager

Lili joined Buzzacott in June 2022 and is an Assistant Manager in our Research & Development Team. 

Lili works with many clients, from SMEs to large companies. She covers a range of sectors, including software, architecture, and manufacturing. 

As claiming R&D tax credits can be complicated, Lili and the team see many clients who have been misinformed or don’t realise that they aren’t identifying all eligible expenditures. She works with companies to review and reassess what projects and costs qualify for R&D credits. 

Given the multiple changes in the scheme, when clients sign up as their advisors, Lili keeps track of key dates and changes affecting them and will always reach out with updates they need to consider.

The R&D team provides a full range of services, including the full claim preparation of an R&D claim, eligibility assessment, technical interviews, costing and financials and a full report write-up. They also advise companies to maximise their funding review on existing R&D claims and cover compliance enquiries dealing with the HMRC for clients. 

Lili’s background in Chemical Engineering has given her an understanding of various projects that clients might undertake in their R&D claim. She works closely with the wider Corporate Tax team as well as the Business Services and Audit team. 

Lili has a master’s in chemical engineering from the University of Bath. Away from the office, she enjoys running, travelling and attending live music events.
