Peter Mackereth - Director

Pete specialises in providing audit and advisory services primarily to charities and educational institutions, with a particular focus on membership organisations, international non-governmental organisations (INGOs) and research institutes. 

His diverse clientele ranges from small entities with just a couple of employees seeking guidance on basic accounting treatments and needing a sounding board for their ideas, to larger and more complex clients. The latter group turns to Buzzacott for insights on how to enhance their operational efficiency, improve reporting practices and effectively manage key business risks. 

Pete’s expertise lies in conducting audits, including grant audits tailored to specific funder’s requirements. He also engages in presenting at both online and in-person seminars and collaborates closely with the VAT and Tax team, ensuring comprehensive support to clients within the charity sector. 

His academic background includes a degree in environmental geography and international development. Prior to joining Buzzacott, Pete dedicated time to volunteering with various local charities. Beyond his professional pursuits, Pete enjoys running and taking his dog for daily walks.
