Rhodri is a Senior Tax Consultant within our Tax Investigations and Dispute Resolution team. He works with a variety of clients, including corporates, trustees, high-net-worth individuals, landlords, expatriates and individuals with offshore sources of income and gains.
For many of Rhodri’s clients, receiving a letter from HMRC can be one of the most stressful events in their life. With his technical knowledge and understanding of HMRC’s powers and procedures, Rhodri helps clients by taking control of the process and alleviating the pressure. He establishes a relationship with HMRC on their behalf to ensure they are treated fairly and minimising the stress of being under HMRC investigation.
Rhodri has experience with a wide range of services, including managing digital disclosures with HMRC (via the Worldwide Disclosure Facility and Let Property Campaign), as well as assisting clients through Code of Practice 9 (COP9) when fraud is suspected.
He has in-depth knowledge of penalty regimes and works to minimise unnecessary exposure to tax and penalties imposed by HMRC. Rhodri works alongside Buzzacott’s Expatriate Tax Services and Private Client teams, collaborating with colleagues to provide combined expertise and a joined-up approach.
Rhodri holds a degree in Accounting and Business Finance. He is also qualified by the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and is working towards the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification.
Outside of work, Rhodri is a keen sportsman and enjoys visits to the cinema.
